Amazing cafés

A long day of work is over for Hiroko when she pushes a paw shape doorknob, removes her shoes and sterilizes her hands.

It’s a cosy space, softly lit, classical music plays quietly. As we look around, there are people playing with cats and others relax while observing the art of the feline.

Hiroko orders a cup of tea and Missia, her favourite cat, jumps into her lap. She settles back into the comfortable couch… serenity. Guess where she is?

An exquisite space for companionship, human and feline – a cat café.

Dear Future Shapers, you just entered with Hiroko one of the 39 cat cafés available in Tokyo.

First initiated in Taiwan, it’s nowadays a popular cultural trend, an antidote to anti-pet housing regulations, small spaces and too often absent pet lovers.

An now, imagine you open your new concept bar: what would it be?
